Our culture
Our culture, indeed our entire planet, is becoming more keenly aware of our shared responsibility to protect our environment and conserve our resources. “Green” was first cool, and then it became good, now it is important and is quickly becoming critical and mandatory! We believe that we as individuals, and as a company, are responsible for supporting the principles of Sustainability in how we conduct our lives and our business.
Mayer Construction is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). We have taken LEED training and have worked on LEED certified projects. We understand the certification process and are prepared to support our clients with cost analysis, life-cycle costing, material purchasing, recycling, dust and vapor controls and the proper documentation to facilitate the LEED building certification process.
Mayer Construction believes that we are not just a company but a corporate family. Just like your family we provide, care for and protect our families. We also understand that our family lives in a community of other corporate families. Life is better, safer, more prosperous and more fun when we work together in a healthy and vibrant community. Our resources and time are limited and there are more worthwhile causes than we can possibly support. However, we must do what we can. Mayer Construction will designate from time to time certain tax-exempt, non-profit organizations that will receive financial support. In the past we have supported The Hungarian Ball in Atlanta, GA. The Hungarian Community of Georgia promotes a strong and healthy relationship between Hungary and the USA. It also supports various cultural activities and supports the Hungarian School in Atlanta, GA.
As good corporate and world citizens we are concerned for the environment of our planet. We are strong promoter of the Green Building Council and support the use of sustainable construction practices and recycling. We stress work place safety to protect our employees and our community from dangerous chemicals and other forms of pollution.
