Scheduling
The project schedule is our assembly plan that guides us step by step in the process of construction. Our schedules incorporate the principles of Lean Construction so we schedule the activities that lead up to the arrival of the men and materials at the job site. We schedule the procurement of materials, submittals, shop drawings, manufacturing and delivery to the job site. These off-site activities are coordinated with the sequence and time frames for each construction task on-site. The details of the schedule will be expanded as necessary to indicate how we will work through difficult issues. It is a tool to measure our progress against the plan.
We live with this document ever day of the job. With it we control and direct the activities of all the contributors to the building process. It is the most important field tool we have.
